Dr. Paul A. Brown, Senior Pastor

Pastor Paul Brown is the Senior Pastor of New Covenant Presbyterian Church. After growing up in a Christian family, he went to Taylor University in Upland Indiana.  Sensing a call to pastoral ministry during his high school years, he majored in Religion/Biblical Literature and History at Taylor University. After graduating in 1978, he attended Dallas Theological Seminary majoring in pastoral ministries.  Following his 1982 graduation from DTS with a Th.M. in Pastoral Ministries, he was ordained in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church after receiving a call to be the first Pastor of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Lake City, Michigan.  In 1987 he became the pastor of the Dundalk Presbyterian Church (EPC) in Baltimore, Maryland.   During this time, Pastor Brown also earned his D. Min. in pastoral ministries from Bethany Theological Seminary in Dothan Alabama. He was called in 2004 to be the new senior pastor at New Covenant Presbyterian Church.  During his time at New Covenant, Pastor Brown has enjoyed a fruitful ministry by faithfully expounding the Word of God and being a faithful shepherd to the saints at New Covenant.  He also provides pastoral counseling to those living near the church.   Pastor Brown has taken seminary students from DTS and Westminster Seminary Dallas campus (now Redeemer Seminary) under his wing as pastoral interns and has shared his extensive pastoral knowledge with them.  The interns that he has worked with feel that they have received great practical knowledge and experience by working with him.

During his time as a student at DTS, Pastor Brown met Mai Smith. She worked as the switch board operator at DTS. They married on May 8, 1982. They have two wonderful adult children.  A son, Aaron , age 26 and a daughter, Bethany, age 23.  Bethany is married to Jason Lawrence and they have one son, Jaxon Lawrence, age 1. Paul and Mai currently reside in the beautiful town of Forney TX. During his spare time, Paul enjoys woodworking, landscaping, and grandparenting with his wife Mai.

Kenneth was called as a pastoral intern at New Covenant in the fall of 2008.
