About Us
Our Mission Our mission is to lead people into a vital personal relationship with Jesus Christ and into relationships of service to bring others to Him. Our Ministry Sunday morning activities:
Wednesday night activities (in the fall, winter, and spring):
Weekly activities:
Every summer, NCPC sends a team of members and friends to Juarez, Mexico. We work with the people of Juarez for one week, sharing and living the Gospel. We work with BEAMM (Border Evangelism and Mercy Ministries) on construction projects and vacation Bible school with the Tierra Promiteda church. For more information about BEAMM's ministry, visit their website at www.beamm.org.
When the time gets near for children to return to school, NCPC collects school supplies to donate to a local elementary school.
In the fall, many members from NCPC take some time for fellowship, study, and fun during our annual retreat. This year's retreat will be in Grapevine.
Throughout the year, we have several opportunities for fellowship, aside from our regularly scheduled activities. These include pot luck lunches after Sunday morning services, ice cream socials during the summer, special services during holiday seasons, and many others.
For a calendar of our events, see the Events page.
Our Music
During our worship services we enjoy singing a variety of traditional hymns and praise songs. Our music is led by two professional musicians, Mr. Devon Hamilton and Mr. Don Reasons. In addition to singing songs of worship to our Lord, the congregation is audience to choral and instrumental arrangements (with piano, organ, and often hand bells, flute, violin, and/or guitar), and solo vocal performances. Regular features of our worship services are the choral anthem, sung by our four-part choir; the offertory music, played on organ or piano by Don; and the musical response to the sermon, sung by Devon. Critical Aims Spiritual Growth: People meeting regularly around Word and sacrament to mature in Christ as His disciples. Family Ministry: People building primary relationships around principles of God's Word and supporting family values through the ministry of the Church. Outreach: A Community of believers sharing Christ and leading people in a personal relationship with Him and ministry in His church. Growth Groups: Small groups where people give and receive God's love and care through the ministry of the church.
As a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), we uphold the beliefs and practices of the denomination. For more information about the PCA, please visit About the PCA. If you have specific questions about New Covenant, please feel free to e-mail the church at ncpcdallas@aol.com.
